Falls & Co. Teams Up with The Salvation Army to Spread Joy During the Holidays
Falls | November 28, 2022
The holidays represent a very special time of the year. The bright lights, the cheery sounds and the wonderful smells of the season are just some of the reasons why. It’s a time when loved ones gather and friends reunite. But most of all, the holidays open people’s hearts (and often their wallets) and we focus on the needs of others.
For nearly 25 years, Falls & Co. has proudly supported The Salvation Army’s annual holiday toy drive as a corporate sponsor. Over the years, our team has gathered thousands of toys for Cleveland families who may otherwise have nothing to give their children on Christmas morning.
While we can only imagine the big, broad smiles and squeals of glee from the children, the satisfaction we feel having helped make those smiles and squeals possible is incredibly real. It’s why we continue to give.
And it’s why we can’t imagine – don’t want to imagine – any child waking up and not having a single gift to open. As the need grows, so does our giving. Every year Falls & Co. strives to collect more toys than the year before. Soon, beneath the tree in our lobby, you will find stacks and stacks of toys, from baby dolls to race cars, basketballs, scooters, and so much more.
There are many wonderful charities throughout Northeast Ohio, and, throughout the years, Falls & Co. has supported as many as possible. Along with The Salvation Army, Northeast Ohio charities support our underserved neighbors in so many ways, providing food, shelter, after-school programming, rehabilitation services, spiritual healing, and so much more.
Compared to these critical services, toys may seem to matter little. And yet, they matter more than anything. Toys are a source of joy when put in the tiniest hands. Not only do they stimulate imagination and teach the value of sharing, toys contribute to the development of cognitive, motor, psychosocial emotional and linguistic skills. They not only help distract from the harsh realities of everyday life, but they play a key role in raising self-confident, creative and happier children.
We believe it is our privilege to give, and we are thankful to The Salvation Army for this wonderful opportunity that comes to us at this special time of the year.
