Education about menopause was woefully lacking, leaving women to relyon myths and misconceptions when choosing treatment options for theirspecific symptoms.
For too long, menopause has remained a taboo topic that women only discussed in hushed voices behind closed doors. Without meaningful dialogue around menopause, health care providers were not able to adequately diagnose women’s symptoms or prescribe adequate treatment options.
Positioning the medical director of The North American Menopause Society (NAMS) as an industry thought leader, we created a proactive educational program to promote the latest proven therapies and treatment options for menopause symptoms and other mid-life women’s health concerns. By educating women on their options, NAMS is empowering women to better manage menopause so they can live healthier, more-productive lives.
