SITUATION

“Are You Ready?”— a campaign to promote welding safety and fume control awareness – educated manufacturing employers, welders and the general welding community about new Occupational Health and Safety Administration standards that require industries with exposure to hexavalent chromium to meet specific respiratory requirements. Falls & Co.’s objective was to position Lincoln Electric^®  as a leader in welding safety by working with relevant industry media outlets. The agency also sought to educate the welding community on EPA regulations and proper operating practices and create an interactive resource of materials for industry editors. 

SOLUTIONS 

• Launched an “Are You Ready 2.0?” interactive media kit featuring releases on products, background on interview sources for articles and a guide to meeting regulations and welding safety 

• Conducted media relations, supported with social media outreach with all key welding, fabrication, safety and environmental publications
